The seats that we had were on the Mezzanine. This was also true of many of the restaurants.

During the purchase process, it was made clear that you needed to show your Covid -19 Vaccine Status prior to entry to the theater. We purchased our tickets ahead of time via Ticketmaster. We have done limited fun travel during the pandemic so we were excited to get to the city after a couple of years of not visiting. We decided to take the train into the city and stay at the Millennium Broadway Hotel, with a city view room. The view was great and we were about a block from the Minskoff Theater where the Lion King was playing.

We live about 3 hours drive away from New York City, so we did want to plan a trip and stay overnight. We also love the Festival of the Arts at Epcot, to get our culture in, but this a nice treat for when you can’t be at the parks. These are usually hard to get, but I was able to get very good seats at a reasonable price using the Today Tix app, which as an added bonus make ticket pickup a breeze 30 min before the show: in front of the theatre. We recently had the opportunity to visit New York City and take in a show! This was a welcome visit after the pandemic had closed down all of the Broadway shows until recently. While in other Broadway plays you can get away with seats in the back, this is one you’ll WANT to be up close to be in the midst of the action. However, to get the most out of the show (and because it is a BIG theatre) I recommend seats as close to the stage as possible. If there ever was a first Broadway show to take your kids, this is the one.Īs far as seating goes, the sound is good wherever you are. The scenery, the costumes, and the music really place you someplace magical from the beginning.

It’s not “just a remake” of the animated film (or the new cgi/ live action-like), there’s something undeniably human that comes with the gifted actors and musicians that are part of this ensemble. This show brought tears to my eyes more than once.
